WEEKLY FRIDAY BUS OUTINGS taking clients on a journey selected by volunteers. On these outings clients take their own morning tea and lunch. A picnic site is chosen for morning tea and lunch. On inclement days a club may be chosen to have lunch. Clients are picked up from their homes by bus and dropped off again after lunch. MONTHLY LUNCHES are held at the WACCI premises on the first Tuesday of each month. Lunch is provided for a small fee. Clients are picked from their homes by bus and dropped off again after lunch. Volunteers to assist on the day and entertainment such as bingo, DVD's and music are enjoyed.
A BBQ LUNCH is held on the first Tuesday in March and October and is catered for at Blackbutt Reserve. Clients are picked up from their homes by bus and dropped off again after lunch. A small fee is charged for the day. This is always a great day out enjoyed by both clients and volunteers.
A SHOPPING PROGRAM is provided fortnightly on Thursdays throughout the year at Wallsend Plaza. Clients can either be picked up from home to go on the bus themselves (volunteers are available to assist if required) or clients can provide a shopping list for volunteers to do shopping for them. A small fee is charged for the bus.
TRANSPORT can be provided (depending on availablity of volunteers) to appointments; e.g. medical, dental, podietary, community facilities. A small fee is charged for transport services.
HOME VISITING is available for housebound, isolated people. A volunteer may visit on a regular basis to the client's home. No fee for home visiting.
